Who it’s For

Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or never set foot on a yoga mat before, there’s space for you here. Because we practice a vinyasa flow, we recommend the ability to get up and down off the ground. We do hope to add a chair yoga class in the future!

What to Bring

A mat. A water bottle. Yourself.

You are welcome here.

Faith in Motion is a faith-based organization, and gentle, inclusive, expansive spiritual language may occasionally be used while honoring yoga's roots in movement as prayer.

These yoga classes are open to everyone.

All bodies, ages, and stages of practice are welcome. We recommend the ability to get up and down off the ground for our vinyasa flow classes. Chair classes (hopefully coming later this fall!) are for all abilities.

Whatever you believe or don’t believe, there is space for you here.

You are welcome. You belong. You are loved.

My Teaching Philosophy

Hi friends, I’m Kelsey. As a dancer, yoga practitioner, and minister, I have a unique understanding of the connections between mind, body, and soul.

When I teach, it comes from a place of deep curiosity. It’s not about getting a pose “right”; it’s about discovering who you are in this moment, what your soul needs, and what your body is trying to teach you.

My teaching specialty is Vinyasa Flow, offering sequences that connect movement with breath. With a strong background in anatomy and somatics, I emphasize thoughtful technique and supportive alignment with the intention of caring for your body beyond the mat. Yoga can be challenging, but it should never be painful or harmful. So we practice listening to our bodies, moving with care, and finding ways to keep moving throughout our lives.

I believe how we do yoga is how we do life: how we breathe through challenging moments, release tension, listen to our bodies (even when the person on the mat next to us is doing something different), and practice compassion toward ourselves and others.

There is so much yoga can teach us, and I’m excited to keep learning alongside you. I can’t wait to see you on your mat soon!
