Pastor Kelsey

Rev. Kelsey Beebe (she/her) is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, a movement practitioner, and the founder of Faith in Motion.

With dual graduate degrees earned with honors (an MDiv and an MFA in Dance), Kelsey lives at the intersection of faith, movement, and motherhood. Her passion is helping people move beyond intellectual belief into lived, embodied experience. In all she does, she hopes people can truly feel the love of God within and around them.

Kelsey has served as a youth and family pastor in California, and as a solo pastor in churches across Missouri and Wisconsin, including two-point calls where she simultaneously led two congregations. Her ministry is shaped by years of preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and walking alongside folx through both sacred and ordinary moments.

Alongside her ministry, Kelsey is a highly trained movement practitioner. With a primary background in dance, she holds a BA and MFA in Dance, and is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) with additional certifications in trauma-informed yoga and children’s yoga. She previously served as adjunct faculty at Saint Mary’s College of California, where she taught Dance Science (Anatomy for Dancers), as well as modern and ballet technique to undergraduate and graduate students.

Her graduate thesis explored embodied prayer—how movement can deepen our connection to God, ourselves, and one another. That work continues to shape everything she creates today.

Kelsey has led retreats, workshops, and classes across the United States and internationally, including sold-out retreats in Costa Rica, Montana, and Washington. Her approach integrates spiritual depth with trauma-informed embodiment practices, creating spaces that are both grounding and transformative.

She is also the host of the Faith in Motion Podcast (formerly The Lady Preacher Podcast), which has reached listeners in six continents and garnered more than 135,000 downloads. Through the podcast, she explores themes of embodied faith, grace, justice, and what it means to live a life rooted in love.

Whether she is preaching, teaching, or guiding movement, Kelsey leads with compassion, courage, and a deep trust in God’s presence within and around us. Her work is grounded in the belief that faith is not just something we think about—it is something we live, practice, experience, and embody.

Outside of her work, Kelsey is a Pacific Northwest native who has spent time living in California, Missouri, and Wisconsin before returning home to Washington, where she lives with her husband, Rev. Kevin Beebe, their two children, and their cat Velcro. Kelsey feels most at home near the water, has a deep appreciation for a good donut, will always belly laugh at a good dad joke, and firmly believes the best way to end the day is with a mug full of Tillamook ice cream.

let all that you do be done in love
